Prime and VINCI Construction UK have been successfully appointed to a new four-year framework which will provide a value-for-money, fast-track delivery mechanism for car park projects for the public sector.
The National Framework for Total Car Park Solutions – managed by procurement specialists Pagabo and sponsored by Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust – will simplify procurement and provide the public sector with a quick and efficient route to car park development and funding.
The Prime/VINCI consortium has been appointed to Lot 1, covering the provision of car park design, build and finance across the UK. Under the Framework, Prime will provide access to development expertise and value-for-money private funding for new car park projects. Prime has a proven track record in delivering innovative parking solutions for the NHS – for example, Yeovil Hospital and University Hospital Southampton. Within Prime’s model, the public sector retains the car parking income, operational arrangements and control of its parking tariffs.
Prime will be working in partnership on the Framework with VINCI Construction UK. The national construction and facilities firm has experience across a range of sectors, particularly health and education and is an experienced Framework partner, including P22 and the recently launched Private Investment Construction (PIC) Framework.
Leighton Chumbley, Chief Executive at Prime said: “We are really excited to be appointed to the new car park Framework, working alongside our construction partner VINCI Construction UK. In the acute sector, we have delivered car parking solutions for NHS Trusts, unlocking site-wide development opportunities and ensuring an improved experience for patients, visitors and staff. We will be using this expertise and knowledge to help clients access affordable development and funding solutions to unlock their strategic objectives.”
The National Framework for Total Car Park Solutions goes live nationwide in October 2017. For further information, please contact Prime’s Development Director, Rob Ferris on 01905 362153.
