New St Johns House Medical Centre opens to patients 10 March 2014

St Johns House Medical Centre in Worcester is now welcoming patients to its brand new facility on the up-and-coming University Park development – the science, health and enterprise park off Bromyard Road. The £4.475 million building, developed by Prime and designed by One Creative Environments Ltd (One), will provide a modern and welcoming healthcare facility for c.13,000 patients in the south of the City.

The purpose built medical centre will offer improved facilities and support the GPs’ needs as a growing practice. It features a central waiting area, ten GP consultation rooms, five treatment rooms, a dedicated phlebotomy clinic, onsite pharmacy and a large number of dedicated staff and patient car parking spaces.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the facility is BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rated, which recognises energy efficiency and intelligent design.

Bob Smaylen, Development Director for Prime said: “While we are involved in the creation of first class medical facilities across the country, it is doubly rewarding to work on a project on your doorstep. The St Johns House Medical Centre incorporates cutting edge design and a commitment to sustainability – in a prime location in the city – to deliver a facility that staff and patients will be happy to use for many years to come.”
