Minister of Health turns sod on Boyle Primary Care Centre 15 September 2016

Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD, has officiated at the latest sod turning ceremony in Boyle, Ireland, as part of the PPP Primary Care Centres project involving Prime and consortium partners Balfour Beatty and HICL Infrastructure Company Limited for client the Health Service Executive (HSE).

Boyle is one of 14 new Primary Care Centres (PCCs) being built across Dublin, Galway, Kildare, Limerick, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Waterford, Tipperary and Wexford, with completion of all locations expected within a twenty-seven month time frame.

It is anticipated that the new centre will provide a wide range of community-based services which may include GP services, dental, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and public health nursing amongst others.

Based on the concept of ‘One project, fourteen communities’, each centre has been designed to meet local needs and ultimately enhance local communities nationwide.

Denis Naughton TD, Senator Frank Feighan, Senator Maura Hopkins, along with representatives from the HSE also attended the ceremony.
