A landmark primary care programme in Ireland, which is being delivered by a Prime, Balfour Beatty HICL consortium for client the Health Service Executive (HSE), has been shortlisted in the Best Healthcare Project Category of the 2017 Partnerships Awards.
The programme, which is the first of its kind for the Republic of Ireland’s primary care market, will see 14 new primary care centres open across the country between summer 2017 and autumn 2018.
Based on the concept of ‘One project, fourteen communities’, each centre has been designed to meet local needs and make a positive difference to the community within which it’s located, while focusing on elements such as energy conservation, materials selection, operational needs and maintenance requirements, all aimed at delivering quality and best value for money.
Will Bilborough at Prime said; “This is an important programme in Ireland and will improve primary care for people at a local level for many years to come. It is fantastic that the project has been shortlisted alongside other prestigious schemes.”
Now in its 19th year, the Partnerships Awards is the largest event recognising and rewarding the best in PPP. Open to projects and companies around the globe, the annual event welcomes over 700 people to celebrate the industry’s achievements over the past year.
This year has attracted over 100 entries from leading organisations and projects across Europe, Africa and Asia.
