Prime Chief Executive, Richard Laing joined the debate surrounding opportunities for investment in healthcare, as a speaker at Estates Gazette’s Specialist Markets Investment Forum.
Hosted with CBRE and held at the Waldorf Hilton in London, the forum centred on what’s been driving change in funding and investor focus. The day attracted a large number of investors interested to learn more about growth areas, including healthcare.
Richard’s talk on ‘Partnering with the NHS’ described the diversity in healthcare projects – from their size and scale to opportunities much wider than just clinical facilities. He focused on how investors can access healthcare projects, including overcoming the barriers of procurement and new forms of partnership, touching on some of Prime’s current projects with University Hospital Southampton and Yeovil District Hospital.
An expert panel of which Richard was a member followed the talk.
Richard commented: “Investment in healthcare is moving to the top of the agenda as opportunities open up. New forms of partnership are creating huge opportunities for the property investment sector while delivering much needed improvements in the NHS. Prime is at the forefront of a number of exciting projects and the event was an opportunity to share ideas and expertise.”
