My background in the financial sector allows me to advise the Prime group on all aspects of strategy and corporate governance.
Stuart spent the first 22 years of his career with the Bank of England, including a two-year secondment to the Cabinet Office. He joined the National Westminster Bank in 1988, filling a number of senior roles which culminated in his appointment as Deputy Chief Executive of NatWest UK between 1994 and 1996. In 1997 he joined Hambros Bank as Executive Director and then Chief Operating Officer until its sale to Société Générale (“SG”) in 1998. After integrating Hambros with the UK business of SG, Stuart was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive of SG UK from 1999 until his retirement in 2004. Since retirement, Stuart has held a number of non-executive positions, including the Chairmanships of CAF Bank Ltd, Catley Lakeman Securities LLP and two pension funds.
